The Street Performance World Championships are on again this June, and as always there is some impressive entertainment in store. 
They take place at 3 locations this year:
Cork (Fitzgerald Park) on the 11th and 12th of June
Portlaoise (People’s Park, Timahoe Road) on the 11th and 12th of June
Dublin (Merrion Square) from 16th-19th of June.
Be prepared for a lot of madness, a lot of laughter, a lot of strangeness and a lot of fun.
Acts involved this year include Rubberband Boy, Jitterbug Jackson, The Unknown Stuntmen, Goliath, Mr Spin & The Space Cowboy.
If the names alone of these performers don’t make you want to get down there to check out the shows then maybe a video of last year’s championships will...
A “most Where's Wally’s in the same location” World Record attempt takes place at all three festival venues too as part of the fun, with all profits made from this going to the Africa Aware charity.
If you’re heading to the Dublin festivities then have a relaxed lunch beforehand. 
Close by we recommend Oil Can Harrys, Mizzonis & the Unicorn Café.
If you’re going along to Fitzgerald Park then we’ve plenty of Cork lunch options on site for you too.
We can’t wait for it anyway. What better way to spend a Saturday afternoon than watching contortionists push their bodies to the limit?
